Rachin Ravindra, the recently-emerging cricket sensation, has announced his entry into the IPL 2024 auction with a modest price tag of Rs 50 lakh. Ravindra demonstrated his prowess during the Cricket World Cup, scoring an amazing 578 runs at an average of 64.22. At a basic price of Rs 2 crore, he will be joined by seven Australian Cricket World Cup champions: Travis Head, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Josh Inglis, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Sean Abbott.

Notably, 23 players with a base price of Rs 2 crore will be up for auction at the IPL 2024, which is set for December 19 at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena. Indian stars Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel, and Umesh Yadav are among them.

Among the 333 players, 214 hail from India, while 119 come from overseas, including 2 players from associate nations. The roster consists of 116 capped players, 215 uncapped players, and 2 representing associate nations. Currently, there are 77 available slots, with a maximum of 30 reserved for overseas players.

Teams are getting ready with different salary caps as the auction draws near. On the list of teams with the most financial clout for the upcoming IPL season, the Gujarat Titans lead with a healthy Rs 38.15 crore, followed by SRH (Rs 34 crore), Kolkata Knight Riders (Rs 32.7 crore), and CSK (Rs 31.4 crore).
