Updating the address on your Aadhaar card is a simple process that can be done easily online or offline. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides multiple options to change the address on your Aadhaar card, making it convenient for individuals to keep their information up to date. In this article, we will guide you through the step-by-step process of changing your address online using the UIDAI website and the mAadhaar app.

Aadhar Card Address Change Online:
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website: myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number. Click on “Get OTP”.
Step 3: Enter the OTP received and click on “Login”.
Step 4: Scroll down and find the “Address Update” option.
Step 5: Click on “Update Aadhar Online”.
Step 6: Review the “How It Works?” page to understand the process.
Step 7: Click on “Process To Update Aadhaar”.
Step 8: Select the Aadhaar data field for updating the address.
Step 9: Enter your current address and new address in the “Details to be Updated” section.
Step 10: Upload the necessary documents for Aadhaar card address change.
Step 11: Check the entered details and click on “Next” to proceed.
Step 12: Make a payment transaction of Rs 50 for the address update request.
Step 13: Note down the generated SRN (Update Request Number) for future reference.
Step 14: Once submitted, track the status of the request using the URN on the UIDAI website.
Step 15: The updated address will be reflected on your Aadhaar card within 10–15 days of approval.

Aadhar Card Address Change Offline:
Step 1: Visit a Permanent Enrollment Centre (PEC) near you.
Step 2: Fill the Aadhaar Update Form (AUF) with the required details, including the new address.
Step 3: Submit the AUF along with the necessary documents as proof of address.
Step 4: Pay the application fee for the address update.
Step 5: Provide fingerprints and an Iris scan for verification.
Step 6: The updated address will be reflected on your Aadhaar card soon.

Change Address in Aadhar Card Through mAadhaar App:
Step 1: Download and install the mAadhaar app on your mobile device.
Step 2: Open the app and enter your Aadhaar details and registered mobile number.
Step 3: Click on the “Login” button after entering the OTP received on your mobile number.
Step 4: Once logged in, click on the “Update Address” option.
Step 5: Enter your new address and upload the required document as proof.
Step 6: Click “Submit” to complete the request.
Step 7: Track the URN to check the status of the request on the mAadhaar app or UIDAI website.
Step 8: The updated address will reflect on your Aadhaar card within 10–15 days of approval.
